About the role

The Group Head, Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading and managing the overall sales and marketing strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth and market share for the organization. They will oversee the development and execution of integrated sales and marketing plans, manage a team of sales and marketing professionals, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key responsibilities

  1. Develop and Implement Comprehensive Sales and Marketing Strategies

• Analyze the company's business goals, target markets, and competitive landscape to develop integrated sales and marketing strategies • Establish short-term and long-term objectives, key initiatives, and action plans to achieve revenue and market share targets • Ensure alignment between sales and marketing strategies to create a seamless customer experience • Regularly review and adapt strategies based on market trends, customer feedback, and performance data

  1. Lead the Sales and Marketing Teams to Achieve Revenue Targets

• Oversee the sales team in prospecting, lead generation, proposal development, and closing deals • Manage the marketing team in developing and executing campaigns across various channels, including digital, content, events, and public relations • Set clear performance goals, provide coaching and mentoring, and monitor progress to ensure the teams meet their targets • Foster a collaborative and high- performing culture within the sales and marketing departments

  1. Oversee the Development and Execution of Marketing Campaigns

• Develop and oversee the implementation of integrated marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition • Ensure the creation of compelling and effective marketing content, including digital assets, collateral, and thought leadership pieces • Manage the planning and execution of events, trade shows, and other marketing activities to engage with target audiences • Monitor the performance of marketing campaigns and optimize strategies based on data-driven insights

  1. Analyze Market Trends, Customer Needs, and Competitor Activities

• Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer pain points, and competitive landscape • Gather and analyze customer feedback, market intelligence, and industry data to uncover opportunities and challenges • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate market insights into actionable sales and marketing strategies • Anticipate and respond to changes in the market to maintain a competitive edge

  1. Manage Sales and Marketing Budgets and Optimize Resource Allocation

• Develop and oversee the sales and marketing budgets, ensuring efficient and effective utilization of resources • Analyze the return on investment (ROI) for various sales and marketing initiatives and reallocate resources accordingly • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to improve the overall efficiency of the sales and marketing functions • Provide financial reporting and recommendations to senior management on budget and resource allocation

  1. Hire, Train, and Develop a High-Performing Sales and Marketing Team

• Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent for the sales and marketing departments • Implement comprehensive training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the team • Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability within the sales and marketing functions • Regularly review and optimize the team's structure, roles, and responsibilities to align with evolving business needs

  1. Represent the Company and Collaborate with Stakeholders

• Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company's sales and marketing initiatives, representing the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings • Collaborate with product development, customer success, and other cross- functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and senior management • Provide regular updates and recommendations to the executive team on sales and marketing performance and strategic direction

Requirements

• Minimum of a university degree in Marketing, business, management, or related field from a reputable University.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or Marketing is plus. • Proven track record of success in sales and marketing leadership roles • Certifications in digital marketing, sales management, or project management are a plus • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Marketing function • Experience in managing and leading a team of sales and marketing professionals • Experience in developing and implementing successful sales and marketing strategies • Experience in working with cross- functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders
